Thanks, Voo.
What’s more, Stefan practically gave me this, along with another couple of Barbisios when I bought another Barbisio off him. I posted the first the other day. This is the second. With the weather cooling down (finally), the third one, and the original purchase that started it all...
Still wearing straw during the day, but pulled out another Barbisio that came to me from Stefan over the summer for a visit to the local Indian place. It felt good on the head. Size is just right. The colour is a bit greener than it shows in the photos. Definitely up there in my top couple...
A beautiful pair of women’s Momotaro jeans that my wife bought second hand, but in as new condition. A very small size, the original owner washed them before trying them on, only to find they didn’t fit. Likewise, they unfortunately were too tight for my wife, also. If anyone has a very slim...
The rain today kept temperatures down, so I pulled out the Fed IV for work. Felt should be possible for the next two days, also. A couple more straw hat days forecast for Sunday and Monday, but apart from that, I think the felt season is finally here in Japan.
Old Grand-dad bourbon.
I don’t often drink on a Monday evening, but this just arrived, and we were keen to have a taste…so, just the one. It packs a punch at 57%, but quite tasty.
After some respite from the heat and a day of straw, it’s another hot humid day, so back in straw…polypropylene...
While I haven’t posted a lot, I do continue to indulge. It was great to get a quality pour of Guinness a couple of weekends ago. Etsuko had a Yona Yona pale ale.
I was in a Panama
Etsuko was in one of her Toucan Collection hats.
Later on, at lunch…just a run of the mill Japanese beer. I...
And today, finally, a day still warm enough for straw…Etsuko in a Panama…
…but cool enough for an unlined felt. I have been itching to wear this Barbisio I got from Stefan @steur when it was already too hot to wear it.
Telescope crown. It came with an extremely grimy liner, that I removed...
When I was trying to find out how old my Pocketweight Stylemaster, I reached out to the people at Akubra. We came to the conclusion that it is a late 60s hat. They said Australia went metric in 1966, so my hat with the size 60 tag had to have been later than that.
The one you’re looking at...
Had some things to get done in the garden this morning, so out there early. Nice, cool temperatures (that won’t last) and a spectacular looking morning made the garden work a pleasure. The regular summer garden hat was in use (Tula palm straw).
