I know very few of these were ever issued before the cotton and nylon flight jackets took over, but I was wondering if anyone out there knows iif they were only ever issued by the US military in seal or if russet was also an option, as per the A2?

Just to add to this - I have 20 Aeros of a range of styles and the only one where this is really an issue is my Cafe Racer - I don''t find the neck hanging problem in the other models, and even with the CR its not unbearable…its also not comfy either, so that one tends to sit in the wardrobe...
