I suspect my perspective is different from others.
In 1940's my father attended US public schools. The instructor teaching his Latin class was Catholic. She incorporated Latin Catechisms into class. My grandfather who was an Orthodox Jew went in and complained. After the principal...
In another thread I mentioned to Rick that I asked my grandmother if my grandfather ever collected fountain pens. My grandmother went to a drawer and pulled out the pen (a green Parker 51 and pencil set). She told me I could keep it if I wanted it. Today I took it to Pen Haven and asked if...
Does he wear glasses? I remember one taller, slim guy with glasses and longer hair.
I spoke to Hilary and one British guy. The guy I spoke to had shorter hair though. They are going to look into things for me. However, as I said, it might not be worth it if my brace size ever changes.

They are steep. Right now I'm paying $100-150 on top of whatever Allen Edmonds and Alden shoes I purchase due to my fitting issues. That still doesn't even get close to the EG shoes. They're nice to look at though. They'll show you some great shoes.
This is a bit off topic but I told...
It will be going on tomorrow too.

They were very upfront with me about my issues and I appreciated that.
The owner of Alden will be at the store next weekend and should be at the main DC store next week as well.

I went to the Sky Valet Edward Green trunk show today. I live near Sky Valet so it was a quick and short walk over to Georgetown. I met Hilary Freeman and saw some of the shoes. The shoes are amazing. It's too bad (but not too bad for my wallet) that the shoes are not a good match for me...
American Hatters of Maryland used glue to affix a sweatband into my old Knox Cervo beater.
I took the pictures down but they were not pretty:

I sent the same lid to Worth and Worth in NYC and they cleaned it and...
If I can make it to the UK this Winter I'm going to pick up a Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) guide and seek out a good pub with real ale. The best I can find in DC is bottled bitter. Bluebird is good but I'm dying to try the real thing.

I get the "You look like Dick Tracy!" comment when I wear my green fedora. I always thought he was pictured with a yellow lid but I've seen some green ones as well.

Off and on for quite some time.
In a couple of weeks I'm going to meet a few people from one online dating site. One woman collects vintage 1930's to 1950's vintage clothing. I'm looking forward to meeting her.

Need some additional takers? :)
:offtopic: I bought some pipe tobacco called "Black Cordial" for this weekend. A guy in a tobacco shop told me about it and I found it at an online retailer. It's an aromatic but it burns fairly cool, tastes pretty good and smells really nice.
I'll have to ask Art the name of the color. It's not that shiney at all. I think that's an effect of the flourescent lighting and the flash from the digital camera. I'll try and get a outdoors photo tomorrow morning. The lighting in my place always seems to distort colors.

There is a story behind this new Fedora and I think it should be told. Art made this hat out of the kindness of his own heart.
Close to a year ago I thought about purchasing some custom made caps. I was growing out of the style of caps that I'd been wearing and I was looking for something...
I just posted it so he could see the cordovan color in the sunlight.
I did take some pictures of myself wearing it. At the time I was just about 20lbs heavier. I'll try to take some new photos soon. You are right though the jackets look better when you get to see someone wearing them...
