All reminiscent of the days of telegraphing, where senders actually paid for the message by the word count.

Often told story about a fan of Cary Grant inquiring about Mr. Grant's age. The message read "How old Cary Grant?" Mr. Grant replied, "Old Cary Grant fine. How you?" That story, it turns out had three celebrities attached to it over the years, but the message is the same. Are we back to that?!

QUOTE: hatsRme.

me was never too good at verbs things spellin an inglsh, but I do with totality agree with hatsRme; he, I, and the others

must not only "Talk the talk", we must also "Walk the walk".

Please forgive the (my) spelling mistake:

"must no only "Talk the talk", we must also "Walk the walk".

Now kerrected to:

"must not only "Talk the talk", we must also "Walk the walk"."

Sorry

An explanation:

"me was never too good at verbs things spellin an inglsh"
MY QUOTE.

The above was an example of the manner of speech that was/is/could be a "natural" form,

this being an wake-up call for "If you allow it, you teach it!".

My mother's basement
F as in cough, I as in women, SH as in chivalry?

I recall my fourth grade (or was it fifth grade?) teacher writing it ghoti, with the "ti" pronounced "sh," as it is in motion, action, etc.

Gosh, I wish I could remember which grade that was. It's been so long ago that I'm having difficulty recalling if I spent two years in fourth grade and three years in fifth, or the other way around.
