It's funny reading back that thread. A lot of jackets mentioned there have since been sold.

Edit: lol @torfjord beat me to it
Not sold but chanced my mind (which I do all few weeks) LOL!

Atm my two Jackets are: FW Brakemann (still) & my "new" Aero Highwayman

It’s really funny reading this thread and counting all the jackets that have since been sold

I don’t think, selling your „all time favourite jacket“ is a contradiction per se.
I sold my all time fave after years and years of love as it never „really“ fit. I repeated with the replacement when I outgrew it.

It gives me pleasure to hand over something I really like when I feel my time with it is done. If you love something, set it free…

I think so, too. With every jacket you buy, experience and the desire to do better with the next jacket increases. There are probably only a few forum members who hit the jackpot the first time and find their "holy grail" jacket. In addition, there are probably only a few members who are satisfied with just one jacket. I was looking for my "holy grail" jacket for years until I had to realize that I'm not the single jacket wearer.

exactly that.
Just as I don't always walk around with the same pants, the same shoes, the same vests, I don't want to have just one jacket.

Whenever I started looking at leather jackets the RMC Buco j-24 was something that I dreamed of. I thought it was too expensive and that I would never spend that kind of money on a jacket. Instead I ended up buying other jackets. I went through 3 Schott jackets, 1 Simmons Bilt and 1 Aero jacket before I realised that none of those jackets would give me quite the same feeling as the j-24 would.

I ended up buying the RMC Buco J-24 (new fit) and I have never loved a piece of clothing as much as I do with this one. This one is a keeper and I will never sell it.
