However, I can eat a brownie, with two scoops of Chocolate Ice Cream, and 6 table spoons of Dark Chocolate Hershey's Syrup, while drinking a Pepsi with no adverse affects, well except to my waistline and arteries.

I don't think this really qualifies as a soft drink (I don't really like soft drinks) but this is a close for me as it gets - Fentimans Mandarin & Seville Orange Jigger - really refreshing:

Soft drinks may have different definitions, but I was taught that soft drinks are a beverage not containing alcohol so hard drinks are the alcoholic ones. Sodas / pop as well as ice tea, fruit drinks and punches would fall into the soft drink realm.

Ah ok so - I suppose growing up I always thought of soft drinks as sugary drinks - Coca Cola, 7Up, Lilt - that sort of thing. I suppose in the last few years drinks like Fentimans and Iced Teas have really taken off - they weren't around when I was growing up.

I guess it has to do with the alternates to sodas in your area. Asa kid we had a variety of non-soda soft drinks that came in bottles and cans at the market.

Just out of interest - what were the flavours of the non-soda drinks you could have?

Wow, that looks really good!

Brad

It's truly delicious and not full of junk so I feel kind of virtuous drinking it (and it's great if you have had a few tipples the night before!)......

Brio...love the Brio.

Like the orange flavoured San Pellegrino as well... I just wish they'd make larger bottles. 200 ml just isn't enough.

Just a heads up for the UK contingent - Cybercandy are now stocking umpteen varieties of US (& other) bottled sodas, some of which have been mentioned in this thread, like Cheerwine, and some really different sounding stuff (butterscotch root beer, anyone?). Can't wait to try some of these out!
