Y2 / The Shop Vancouver Leather quality?

First I apologize if those sections is incorrect but i believe it is?

Anyway, I've wanted a leather shirt for some time and found the following,
https://theshopvancouver.com/products/y2-leather-sk-13-vintage-pony-western-shirt-black
I like the feel of robust leather and BIFL so faux leather or designer items / lambskin would be out.

I liked this shirt but the price was rough, although I figured that might be the cost of getting a better quality item. I've also heard horsehide (I've no experience with it) can be pretty unpleasant prior to break in which worried me also. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Id say this is about as nice of a leather shirt as you're gonna find. If the measurements work and you can swing the price.. go for it..

Y2 leather/theshopvancouver both rule, great quality and service, TJ is the man, super helpful.
Any leather can be hard to break in, if youre worried about break in, get deer or a soft steerhide.

Y2 and the shop Vancouver are both awesome. They started my love for heritage menswear and I have two pieces from them.

I agree with the replies above, if you can try on some horsehide products that would be preferred - can always go for a different type of leather like steer hire or a cowhide if you want something softer to begin with.
