I'll take a photo of the 200 X's in a Resistol I have that is of poorer quality than the 100X Resistol westerns I have and you can see for yourself what a fake X looks like.
Hatco loves to give a hat a Hispanic name and inflate the X count. SHAME ON THEM!!!!

They also consider the "jewelry" of the hat to be a rationale of the X count. I guess vain beavers make higher quality felt?

Then there is that whole X count in a straw hat thing to deal with..............

I think we should institute DNA testing in hats.

Even funnier is that the 5000X hat is made of paper straw, not fur felt. That's got to be some special paper straw.
