8 pages and not a single mention of the famous Tipperary Song from Das Boot?

Granted, it's more commonly associated with WWI, but it's absolutely one of my most favorite parts of the movie.

Then there's the famous inclusion of Edith Piaf's "Tu es partout".

Although we don't have any definitive proof this was a prominent WWII song, I still think that the march across France towards Germany was some French records playing.

Speaking of U-boat crew songs, I have heard for years that this was a favorite of the U-boat POWs in Arizona. Apparently it made the hard core NAZIs furious!

Recycled Vietnam. "Gory gory what a helluva way to die,
he ain't gonna jump no more."

Can't remember the rest, 101st Airborne days are long gone.;)

Folk singer Bob Gibson recorded an album of ski songs (1959) that my late uncle the ski bum gifted me that has a number, "Super Skier's Last Race" that is essentially a re- write of "Blood On the Risers."

The Air Force pilots have a great rendition to the same tune called, "The Air Corps Lament" that I really like. Obviously post- war, but I love the sentiments. One verse:

"I have seen them in their T-Bolts when their eyes were dancing flame,
I have seen their screaming power dives that blasted Goering's name,
But now they fly like sissies and they hang their heads in shame,
And they can't fly for hell!

"Glory, flying regulations!
Tack them up at every station!
Crucify the man that breaks one,
The air force has gone to hell!"
