Are there any artisans on here that could take on the project of crafting a leather vest? I'm wanting to replicate one that belonged to Ernest Hemingway. I'll attach what photos I have immediately available and add more from my personal collection. Any help would be much appreciated!

Years ago Ralph Lauren reproduced a copy of that vest very nicely. I’d like to have one too. Have never seen one come up for sale.

So through my research I've found some interesting things. First off I realize most of you who see this or read it won't be able to help, but you might find this interesting. The vest seems to have stuck with Hemingway through most of his life. It first pops up in photos from his trips to the L-T Ranch in Wyoming from 1931-1936, and it shows up in photos from then until the picture I included in this batch. That picture looks to be of Hemingway towards the end of his life. At least the late 1950's or possibly 1960. Needless to say, the vest must have meant something to him, as it stuck with him for at least 20 years. I've also found some pictures of what I think is the Ralph Lauren vest inspired by Hemingway's. It's not exact, but it's really similar. Hope this was relatively interesting.

Found one on EBay. I bought it. Actually I believe there are two others on there now.

I'm not one to be star struck, but there's a few people that whenever I see their picture, all I can think about is how cool they are. Hemmingway is up there along with Steve McQueen.
