Worn in jacket Thread

I came across the "russet vincenza sheen after a year" thread and there was some call for a bartender to re-name it which I don't think happened so...here it is.

As we all know leather jackets improve with age so it is actually MORE important to document what they look like as they progress. This record can be incredibly useful for potential buyers, obviously for vendors, and hell, it's eye candy for all of us so let's do this. I will post some new pics of my LW A2 (my only current jacket) to kick off this thread but please show us yours!! I know Terry makes awesome videos and please keep that up but post pics here too!

Ok, here's a 1970's Harly Davidson leather to get this started. Patina!! It's on a friend's back now down south, so he can add to the patina and chracter...

Great idea for a thread but at what point do we say a jacket has developed enough patina/character to justify posting here? My HWM is a couple years old now and beginning to show some age but not enough to tell a story so to speak.

I have periodic photos of my jackets hoping to capture any major happening in their evolution, so far only creases and minor fading since I'm an indoor person and only been wearing them for the last 3yrs.

WOW, that Windward is stunning! I have indeed not yet posted pics. I want to take some in the light of the sun (if possible in Portland during winter)...

So are you looking for pics of vintage worn-in leather jackets... or leather jackets purchased new that have aged over the last few years or so?

I'd like to see contemporary jackets. I'm putting some wear on a couple of Good Wears I have kept, but I have not seen but one GW Civilian with much wear.

I've done lots of pics of my contemporary jackets from new. It is interesting to see the changes in different leathers. I almost ask in a thread for pictures of well worn Good Wear Civilian Jackets. I just don't see them.

I realize the label says, "Steerhide Leather," but the hide on that jacket grains out like HH. I like it.

As old as that jacket is, and it being stiff, it probably needs a conditioner before it starts to crack. Once cracked, there is no going back.
