Cool little Wormser, stingy bound brim with a tight-ish curl on the brim.

This was the collect end of another hat-exchange. This one with Gary (@Dotneck ) who couldn't get this one to fit him. He was kind enough to trade it with me.
Wormser Royal Luxury in let's say "chalk". Size 7 with the bound brim at 6,5cm and the crown 10,5cm at the center dent. I wasn't all that impressed with my first Wormser, but this one makes more than up for it. Gills too! I picture this hat would be the result if my Caxton and Dobbs Hanover Square had a love baby. It's a glorious hat!

Wormser Genuine Monako “Showerproof.”
This is, to me, an unusual hat. It is not really straw, I don’t think, but some type of coated fiber in a loose weave.

The 2 1/4” brim snaps, and the crown is rigid with a nicely proportioned slope from 4 3/4” front to 3 7/8” back. It has a linen-type liner with a satin tip that runs the length of the crown.

Ribbon was badly stained and wouldn’t stand up to vigorous cleaning; it will have to be replaced.

That ribbon is SWEET!!!! DO NOT REPLACE!!:rolleyes:

All you need to do is simply soak it in warm water and OXYCLEAN......NO agitation.....cold water rinse....hang dry.....I have saved a LOT of ribbons that way.......
OR
Just send the ribbon to me and I will put it to good use.;) VERY GOOD USE!!:):):):)

Yes, I do like the ribbon - it’s one of the things that attracted me to this hat. Thanks for the tip. Maybe I can save it.

A great looking Wormser western, Brent.

Wormser 3X Beaver: 6” open crown and 3” raw edge brim. The glued in liner has a plastic covering, and there were no tags behind the sweatband. Without knowing much about the brand, the overall feel of the hat is 1970s.

I am finally getting my wormser posted, it's the only stingy I own. It usually gets head time during the fall/winter when it's mostly overcast. Brim is 1 3/4" with a folded over/stitched edge and 4 1/4" crown as pinched. Dense felt and easily moldable.
