While not knit, I have been wearing these vests from Filson for several years now

They are a dense woven wool, and in cold weather very warm, but when it warms up not hot and here in E. Texas that's saying a lot for a comfort range where it can be in mid to upper 20's in morning and up to mid 70's by afternoon in the winter. Unless it's extremely cold and windy, I will pair with a lightweight windbraker in the mornings.

Got another one of these made up for me from a vintage knitting pattern I have. Went with brown this time, and added a little extra to the length :)

Nice! Custom or self made items bring the biggest satisfaction. It's great to have an one of a kind item just made for you.

Here is one for zee germans. Saw it at Peek&Cloppenburg from their brand "McNeal". Kinda nice and not too long.

Yes, I too have several of the Filson, but I like the moleskin. Its like hugging myself.

The majority of the costumes in Jeeves and Wooster are original vintage pieces, although you occasionally spot items that look later than the early 30s setting.

I recently picked this up at a thrift shop for a handful of change. It certainly looks vintage but google doesn't seem to know what it is. It's not really my style but I'm going to wear it often because it's very warm.
