WIDEBRIM's Ties: 4th Batch for 2013

Time again to pay off some veterinarian bills...Unless otherwise indicated, all ties are in at least very good condition. Prices do not include shipping. Here are the first three:

(l to r): First off is a great "molecular" patterned-tie, with a light tan background and tan/brown motifs. Inside the front blade is handwritten in light, Kelly green, "Created by 'Emogene' San Francisco All Silk." 54" long by 33/4" wide. ($6)

Next is a tie which is perfect for someone whose name begins with N (some of the Ns are in a blue circle, some in a very light purple circle). This deadstock necktie still has its "SAKS-FIFTH AVENUE" tag attached to it, as well as a Saks label on back of the rear blade. What is really unique about this tie is its brocade; if you look very carefully at the third photo, you can see in the left corner of the blue field a cane and walking sick, and in the right corner there is top-hatted man dressed in what appears to be Regency-era clothing. 49" long by 4" wide; silk. ($8)

Last is a beautiful, near-mint Arrow tie, with a vibrant, deep copper background, an emerald green chevron, and burnt orange lozenges; brocade is a kind of "explosion" motif. 50" long by 4" wide, feels like rayon/acetate. ($8).

Lee are all these from the 1940s? If so I'll take the one on the left with tan/brown circles.

Johnny, they are all from the Bold Look Era (c. 1945-52), so the odds are good that it was made in the late-'40s (although it could be early-'50s). Let me know if you still want the tie, and if so, I'll save it for you if you make it to the Vintage Bazaar at the end of September.

Well, I buy them, then they find new homes...I have two cats, Damian, and one is a semi-permanent border at the vet's. I just found a brocade that I'll likely be posting tomorrow; it's something that might interest you.

Do let me know about the brocade. me first! I haven't bought a necktie in about a week and Im itching for one.
i love cats. have one myself.

Okay, here are some more:

(l to r) First is a vibrant "Hand Made Croydon Cravat," with a dark blue, leaf motif and a silverish background. Originally sold at the "May Company Shops for Men Denver," it measures 48" long by 4" wide. ($7)

Next is a "Hand Tailored" tie whose background varies between dark and sort of Kelly green, with black, pink, and green bar motifs. 49" long by 3" wide. ($6)

Last is a "Hand Tailored Resilient Construction" tie with a purplish-blue background and silver cross-hatch pattern. In good condition, measures 48" long by 3" wide, feels like it might be silk. ($5)

Damian beat me to it -- I'd have bought them all, too. I especially love that first one, with the leaf pattern. It's a beaut.
