Why Not a Book Forum?

Maybe I'm missing something, but why isn't there a forum on here for books?

I'd love some suggestions for books to read beyond Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammet.

My first suggestion would be "It's a Bitter Little World: The Smartest, Toughest, Nastiest, Quotes from Film Noir" by Charles Pappas.

Anyone? Moderators?

I concur. We have the "What are you reading?" thread in the OB, but a dedicated forum would be more convenient.

There is a "what are you reading" thread going on in the O.B. for starters.
Perhaps if there is enough of a demand we will eventually see a book forum. Many of our members are well read and I can see such a forum as an active one.
I vote YES for a book forum.

All applause will be accepted with deep humility..

Further reading suggestion: "Philip Marlowe's Guide to Life" a compendium of quotations edited by Martin Asher.

If there are any mystery fans out there that know of hard-boiled detectives, like Robert B Parker's Spenser, I'd love to get some more reading material.

Agreed.

I also wish we had a House & Home forum for food, wine, cooking, decorating, cleaning tips, construction, DIY...

Yeah, I too made a request in another thread for a Home Forum. I so think this place needs it. The OB is getting bogged down.
