Could say the same for wine and spirits as well...
"Lissen here, sonny boy..."
Nostradamus foretold them, see the infamous "Hister" quatrain. He missed it by only one letter.
I even watched that episode on the History Channel and I totally missed the PBR scenes. lolQuite funny.Nostradamus foretold them, see the infamous "Hister" quatrain. He missed it by only one letter.

Just posted almost the very thing you just said on Vintage Western with a touch more elaboration.Just had to say I loved the commentMan, I just hate all those people who have different personal tastes than my extremely esoteric one.

Do you argue that all taste, good or bad, is subjective?
To argue otherwise demands that all populations around the world and through time are/were striving to meet some perfect image. This is hard to believe, given the sheer volume of different tastes out there.

I'd go even further: To argue otherwise demands that all populations around the world and through time are/were striving to meet the same perfect image. I don't think there's a "Platonic ideal taste" that's somehow eternal or nature-given. Good taste to me is my taste. I suppose most people define it that way (the difference of course being that I'm right and they're wrong ).
A famous city in the east, teens may get free condoms in school, and there are needle exchanges for the drug addicts but you can't buy a fountain drink soda larger than 16 ounces. What does one enable, lend tacit agrement to, versus disavow or vilify?
Two words: Beau Brummell.
