Do some people (celebs or FLers you are friends with or admire) remind you of certain eras? If so, why?

At our Colorado get-together, our group reminded the restaurant hostess of the 1920s (scroll down the link for a photo).

There are quite a few FL ladies who look like an old photo from the 40's. A few that come to mind are Fluer De Guerre. Lauren, Wow and Flutter, Lolita Haze and plenty of others those are just the first names that come to mind.

Lo, for sure. Definitely 40s. I've told her that she looks like a "young old lady" in some of her photos because they are that good. (That's a compliment, BTW!)

I think she could do all the even decades and pull them off -- 20s, 40s, 60s, and even the 80s!! lol

There's a few actors that have that "golden era" look or feel to them IMO (not made up for a movie role, just their facial structure, carriage, demeanor):

Maggie Gyllenhall (sp?)

Scarlett Johansen

Anne Hathaway

George Clooney

Tom Hanks

Ewan McGregor

Thses ladies come to mind when I think of silent film stars (1920's-1930's):

Theda Bara, Pola Negri, and Clara Bow.

Which one would you say played the best vamp?

Eva Green (Vesper Lyn in Casino Royale) reminds me a lot of the early silent film actresses....like a Theda Bara crossed with Lillian Gish.
Neil Patrick Harris (of How I Met Your Mother and Dr. Horrible) looks like a 40's comedic actor to me (Jack Lemmon-y).
Stephen Moyer (Bill from True Blood) looks like a fast-talking Depression-era con man a-la Paper Moon.

These members come straight out of the 1920's, 30's & 40's (Ray, Ben & Simone, Kadri, WingNut), and they just blow my mind 'how good' they all look!! :eusa_clap

***These are not Movie Stills folks...they are members here!!!***

Anybody else gonna contribute?

Onlyguyintown (Sergio) makes me think of '30s East Coast with his ever-present newsboy cap and "period-correct" coat/trousers combinations. And I must add that jtcarrey (Juliette) always looks like Texas pan-handle Depression:eusa_doh: (in a good way).;)
