the lee 101j fits different than the Levi (say type 3)

The lee's cuffs are much slimmer than the levi. The shoulders are not as square as the levis and the waist is slimmer too.

so depending on your body type, if you're more square, than the Levi's will fit better. If you're more taper than the Lee would be your choice.

Early wranglers are more in line with Levi's. Although they have a different look entirely.

Sportsmansguide

I've had great results with Sportsmansguide on jean jackets. I've have 3 of them (under their label "Guide Gear"). Equal in meaterial thickness and construction to my Levi or Carhartt jackets. The nice thing is that they can be had for usually less than $25!
