white Xmas unlikely

The National Weather Service said Tuesday that almost all of the United States, with the exception of parts of southern Texas, would have normal or above normal temperatures for the next two weeks.

"It is very unlikely anyone in the Northeast is going to get a white Christmas."

We are having a blizzard in Colorado right now. Maybe the snow will still be here on Monday.

The only way we get to have a white Christmas in our area is to enjoy the sugar white sand at the beach.

I have an inside contact at the National Weather Service here in New Orleans, and there may still be hope for us. The forecast is for a very light rain with near freezing temps. If some of that artic air just pushes a little harder, all of the terrible fog we've had for the last week might be white stuff on our lawns.

I've never seen a white christmas due to the fact it is so hot(summer) in Australia at this time of year.

Hanukkah Blizzard

Christmas in Denver is usually dry and brown. But this year, there is two feet of snow and it's still coming down. There is no bus service or mail delivery today. The city is all but shut down.

Even under the brilliant Colorado sun, all of this snow is not going to melt by Christmas.
