A Whippet, at least a vintage version, generally has a 5 3/4" crown before being shaped, with a 2 5/8" brim. The brim is bound and the ribbon is about 1 1/2" wide. However, the block shape is also important, and that is something only a hatter can probably tell you about. A modern Whippet, though... just ain't a Whippet.
