Sorry Marc, I couldn't find your original post in the Artist forum and wasn't sure so it was the old they said comment.
I'm thinking you all are correct then, it was either the tailor, the director or the actor, I have to think one of the latter two because some of the other costumes seem done so well (don't they?)
And as far as director versus the actor, Buscemi does not seem the kind of person (having done the roles he's done) I wouldn't think he'd demand square shoulders... I'm going to peg this on Scorcese because this is an internet forum and I can
