I use the last name of Bertram Wilberforce "Bertie" Wooster, one of the main characters in the brilliant Jeeves & Wooster stories, written by P.G. Wodehouse.

I'm a big fan of vintage/raw/selvage denim jeans, which is how I got into different kinds of clothing. Looking for 1940's style work boots to go along with them led me here...

Years ago I need to come up with a user name for another board and I couldn't think of anything particularly creative and I thought, "well, it's just me." :)

Maggie is a common nickname for me-- my uncle has called me "Maggie Mae" ever since I was very small. I also love "Harriet the Spy," a child's book that became a film in the 1990s. So, I put the two together and became maggiethespy.
Cute--kinda fits with that mischievous smile and twinkle in your eye, too... Just don't try the "Saffron" act on me, Mal Reynolds is a pushover next to both my literary counterpart and myself... :p lol ;)

Dearest Binkie, do not fret! A quick dunking of your Bakelite Computing Device in a nice bath of gin will do it wonders!

You are my new favorite Lounger, please keep it coming! We are amused.

I play a lot of games in the Gangster genre and coin myself as quite a cook. Being that gangster's like nicknames, I thought Manny "Spaghetti" was fitting as it's also a dish I love to make and as a matter of fact, made tonight for my family.

Maguire.. just a great generic alias to go by i suppose. Also Jude Law's character in road to perdition.

Panache is my favorite word and Cyrano de Bergerac my favorite play and character.

I strive in all things in my life to do them with...panache !

"See it there, a white plume
Over the battle - A diamond in the ash
Of the ultimate combustion-My panache"

Cyrano de Bergerac, A. Burgess translation

Cheers

"Ace Fedora" was the name of a comic book I wrote a few years back. "Ace" is the fictional private eye persona of a bored, daydreaming, Walter Mitty-ish accountant.

Replace "accountant" with "computer guy" and it's a pretty accurate description of me.

I've been "britishink" online since 1998ish.

I am British and have been living in the USA for 17 years, I tattoo - hence britishink.

I like the alloneword aspect too.

Britishink is the name of my studio. We are the only fully custom tattoo studio in Washington DC.
