Where are all prime A-2 makers buy the hides from

Any idea where ELC , GW etc. get their horsehides from?
I know Aero buys it from Horween.
Just tried Horween Europe ( in Lahr/Germany) what a pain in the......neck!
Any idea?

I've heard there is a place in Italy. Victoria or something like...
Shinki is in Japan, and Badalassi is also in Italy. Carlo Badalassi can be purchased here in America too thru a distributor.

If I were the owner of a thriving business concern, I would be reticent to divulge from where I sourced the raw materials to manufacture a widget for obvious reasons.

I know Chris from Aerial Star said he sourced his steerhide from a small tannery in the US over the phone. Really hope he can start up again.

I had many conversations with Chris. I even recieved the first half-belt he made. A great guy with good ideas, but he wasnt making the jackets himself, so he got let down by others in his production process. It must be really difficult to keep control of all the pieces if they are scattered around. I hope he comes back. I wish him the best
