Tell us about your Indyesque Fedora. I just received an Akubra Federation IV Deluxe yesterday and the only time it's been off my noggin was while sleeping last night. :cool2:

I doubt its to the standard you good people expect from a hat, but it has been bringing me pleasure thus far :D. Its merely a modern made wool felt "jaxon Iconcolast" it was only cheap, after coming on this site ive realised how much better quality a more expensive fedora really is haha. but it will do me for now.

I wish my first few hats had been as nice as your Jaxon. Lots of cheap, trendy, stingy-brimmed hats are now sitting around collecting dust. And the money I spent! :eusa_doh:

So, that explains this obsession! Repressed sexual desire. :eusa_clap Perhaps that's why several people have suggested to me that this is just a symptom of a mid-life crisis. :( Or maybe my receding hairline? NOT!!!! Maybe it's just simply that hats are, well---cool.:cool2:

This is a medical condition. As with all medical conditions that have a name any actions of the inflicted are not the fault of those who suffer from the condition.

F.A.S. - Fedora Acquisition Syndrome has no cure, the symptoms can only be alleviated by pallative treatment. For some, the dosage must be as high as several per week. The treatment efficacy is limited to once per dose.

I keep telling my wife that, but she doesn't believe me... and at the moment, I'm not too sure myself. I made the mistake of doing a total of the group Hats in Quicken and it involved waaaayyyy too many digits!

But Wyrd, as Bolt said, welcome to the Obsession!

Cheers,
Tom
Tom,I say the same thing to her. You have way more shoes than I do Hats. I'm over 90 as we speak, her answer....."I wear them all".

I said,......you stole my answer.

You, my friend, are beyond the point of no return! Your former, hatless life is no longer to be. Make sure you post pics when you get your new lid---that's the only prerequisite. ;)

Vintage Dobbs, eh? I haven't even gone the vintage route yet. I do have a modern Dobbs however:
