fall from grace, struggling to recover. All the chocolate atop my desk. Found the house stash, a real haul.

Cooked a Cous cous & vegetarian tajine. Once in a while when the mood strikes I will cook a vegetarian or vegan meal just to break the routine. We have a dozen or so vegan recipes that we enjoy and will pull them out from time to time. Tonight was more laziness on my part than grand design.

Don't be too hard on yourself. Last night, as I was eating the head off a chocolate Santa (one of the few random Christmas candies still around), I thought how odd it all is, especially as this was a solid chocolate Santa that required me to use a knife to cut his head off - I'm expecting coal in next year's stocking.

A solid Santa, not one of those hollow chocolate Easter bunnies, can be misleading at first chomp....
Last nite, I returned all chocolate on my desk-including the chocolate covered almonds-back to the stash.
I'm fortunate that I can let chocolate and drink alone if I want, I hate being subservient to my appetite.
Morning coffee however is an entirely different matter. Need the joe.

The last of the leftover beef stew from last weekend, over rice. The meal was very enjoyable because we were discussing (a) what take out to order tomorrow night, and (b) what dishes to cook on Saturday and Sunday. In our house, it doesn’t get much better than that!

A Lady friend from my hometown made me more goulash and a peach cobbler! I was thrilled and can hardly wait to dig in for supper in a couple hours.

Slow-cooked chicken on a tortilla because it is Taco Saturday Night at our house.

Lady ToE stated that we had enough slow-cooked chicken leftover from last night to have tacos again if I so desired. I did and so once again I had tacos for dinner. I am happy.

Ground turkey meatloaf, baked potato, some leftover chicken macaroni.
Lots of ketchup over meatloaf. Nailed seconds. Blessed with an Irish peasant plebeian palate.
