What's for Dinner?

Having a fish fry tonight. Some cod, salmon, pollock, with fried calamari and grilled shrimp.

Fish overall is not my thing; so, as I'm reading your post, I'm thinking (in order), eh, meh, meh, eh and, then, wait, did you say "grilled shrimp," I'm in! I'll bring the beer.

One of my favorites. Even bought a special ceramic dish for it. Kinda looks like a pound cake pan where the center holds the beer. Never tips over as the cans sometimes do.

I'll look into this. The bird occasionally flips and spills-a whiskey tango foxtrot-barbeque experience of spills and thrills.
Turkey breast stuffed and pan baked inside the Webber; cold autumn brisket for football...
A local offers a bourbon sauced salmon, a recipe I need to try.

All favorites of mine. This is the pan I have. Technique Flame.

Hubby suggested that we do appetizers and a family movie night at home tonight. He picked the menu: mozzarella sticks & sauce, beef & cheese taquitos, and fries. He picked the movie, too: Back to the Future.

Lily & I ended up sharing a bowl of popcorn while he enjoyed an appetizer feast. (I was *not* impressed with taquitos. My first - and last! - attempt at eating them.)

We do appetizers, wine and a movie in lieu of dinner several times a year - but always an old one that we know from TCM so stopping it, talking, eating, etc. is all part of the fun.
