Last night was a 50th (gulp) class reunion buffet at the American Legion in my hometown of Fairmount, Indiana. It was pretty good!

Ham sandwiches on buns & croissants , deviled eggs, relish/veggie plate, homemade (very good) potato salad, a variety of different cheeses, and I'm sure I've left out many different dishes. Oh, and some decent white & red wines plus hard liquor with, of course, coldbeer (but in cans ). enough food continually replenished to feed 80+ classmates (small school in 1965).

Potato soup with smoked turkey sausage, mushrooms, and spinach in it. My version of zuppa Toscano. (My trick for super creamy & thick potato soup is blending a bit of cooked potatoes & broth with 4-6 oz. of cream cheese.)
