What's for Dinner?

Went old school last night. While cooking up cornbread for today's dressing I had a craving for cornbread and milk, something that was common in my childhood. So that's what I had.

I'm sure many Americans will be ordering pizza tonight, as no one wants to cook dinner and do the pre-Thanksgiving cooking.
Didn't order one, but pulled a few out of the freezer. My kids can easily pack away 4 or 5 pizzas in one sitting, so the $2 store brand were just the ticket

When I was little, Sunday dinner after church was a heavy hitter, so very often at suppertime it was leftover corn bread and milk.

Yesterday was turkey with dressing and mashed potatoes, and a slice of chocolate chip/bourbon pecan pie - which was about as over the top as I've ever had.

Today we're visiting grandma, and I think a ham is on the menu.

Pretty much the same here except we had the obligatory green bean casserole and pumpkin pie.
Would rather have had your pie. Send me the recipe, I've been looking for an excuse to buy some bourbon. :D

Yesterday was turkey (ala Gordon Ramsey's Christmas style), gravy, garlic red mashed potatoes, corn, stuffing, green beans, dinner rolls, salad, pumpkin pie, Dutch apple pie, garlic dip and chips, sparkling cider, and a few Moscow Mules.
:D
Tonight, leftovers!

I just had salad and "fish" with a glass of pinot. I'm going to have the rest of the apple pie at some point, and probably decaf or some tea.
