Here's a tip......sautee some onions and garlic in olive oil or butter, then throw in the uncooked rice and toss it in the oil and let it brown just a little, THEN cook it in the tomato juice. Don't forget the salt & pepper.Tried something new tonight. Cooked the rice in tomato juice. It was awful. Might be good in the right kind of recipe but I had it with chili and broccoli.

I also often throw in some frozen mixed vegetables or peas and carrots whith the rice, and I generally prefer this...
