I'm headed to a banquet in about an hour or so. I'm not sure what's on the menu, but I know it will be good. However, as with any fancy banquet, I can guarantee it won't be enough to fill me up the way I would like. They don't call me "Big Man" for nothing, you know.

They're pretty busy around here as well. And the meat lover's special at $7.00 or $8.00 isn't bad at all.

Last night was pork belly and chicken wings.

Thursday = Soup Night. I picked up some "pork steaks" on manager's special last week (not sure what cut they are, but I can make just about anything work), so I'll pull those out of the freezer and slow cook them. I'm thinking they'll probably be great in a pork stew with potatoes, carrots, and onion. I'm also going to make a loaf of cardamom bread to go with it.
