The plan is chicken fried rice, and Italian sausage.
Well, I bought a large head of Cauliflower today, and we haven't had that in quite some time.
So I'll use it, with a frozen "mixed vegetable" bag, to make the CFR.
Prepared the same way as regular, but with a lot less carbs.
The sausage of course will be cooked the normal way, how else? :D

The normal way? BBQed.

We ended up with a bunch of fresh tomatoes too (from a farmers market though) so tonight it's going to be spaghetti with made from scratch sauce.

Pulled a swerve....
Chicken only, and corn on the cob in the pressure cooker.
Came out great.
A trip to Costco tomorrow, should net some ground beef and steaks.
The Italian sausage will be cooked tomorrow, over pecan wood, most likely with a few burgers.

The first time I tried it, I was surprised at how good a tomato sandwich could be. I still like them better with bacon, but how could I not?
:D

A bacon and tomato sandwich (lettuce optional) made with vine-ripened backyard tomatos, not the store bought kind, is a transcendental culinary experience

I tried to eat that sandwich as a child, but never acquired a taste for the tomato.
Instead I'd just eliminate the tomato and lettuce, and add cheese. ;)

Last night (date night at home - daughter @ my sister's overnight): grilled steaks (med-rare), baked potatoes (loaded), cucumber salad.

Tonight: chicken & rice casserole with onion, mushrooms, carrots, garlic, sour cream, melted cheddar on top. Steamed broccoli on the side.

Church potluck supper tonight - jambalaya (my contribution), fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, pot roast, some kind of Asian stir-fry with pork and noodles, fresh watermelon, chocolate cake, and cherry pie. There was some other stuff too, but I got too full to try anything else.

Tonight.....chili dogs - with habanero sauerkraut....and a couple of vodka/grapefruit cocktails.

I may regret this later.
