A fried bologna sandwich and a cup of coffee with a generous shot of Ol' Smokey butter pecan moonshine in it.

I am on a regime of antibiotics so am foregoing my daily shot in my coffee.....so I enjoy yours vicariously.

Had to work a little while this morning, so plain coffee for me today as well. I did enjoy some cheese grits and bacon along with it, though, and a handful of peanut butter cookies.

When I was in hospital last week fasting so I didn't have to eat their crap I occupied my time thinking of things I would eat once set free. One of the items was my wife's biscuits. She has a way of making a plain baking powder biscuit come out of the oven like pastries. She calls them 'little pillows'. We have them from time to time as a Sunday treat. We today was the day. Pleased to report they tasted as great in reality as they did in my head at the hospital.

Especially the breakfast is quite nice here in hospitals meanwhile.

Fresh bakery rolls, cold cuts, marmalade, butter...fresh brewed coffee...could really come worse...

One of the first persons to meet getting boarded (not when arriving with blue light of course) is the diet lady you make your nutrition plan with for your estimated stay.

Those who feel somehow „underrationed“ can stock up in the bistro, as long as they are able to walk or have a room mate who is, or asking one of the green ladies.
