That all sounds great...except for the lack of sleep. I miss the days when my kids were little bitty, but not the nights. This all sounds great. Yesterday I started the day with my weekly sourdough biscuits, and green chili, sausage, and onion gravy, with coffee...all cooked over a wood fire. dh66, this week I remembered the whiskey! This morning was a what's in the fridge kind of morning. My four month old son woke up every two hours last night, from 9 pm to 9 am. So, at about 10 am I made my way into the kitchen, put on the Moka pot, and fried up some farm fresh eggs, andouille sausage, and rice. Not glamorous, but delicious all the same.
Just had a flash back to an incident many years ago involving a late night and a bottle of tequila and a trip to Popeye's for breakfast......it wasn't pretty.Cold Popeye's chicken. Spicy, of course.

More times than I can remember.....Could have been Krystal. Been there, done that.

The same as last Sunday and the Sunday before: bacon, cheesy scrambled eggs, country red potatoes, toast, apple juice, and coffee.
This time it was a restaurant, but last weekend was at home. It is usually the same breakfast wherever I happen to be.At home, or a restaurant?

And it is so good too me that I see no reason to change it. Well, unless I were to add a couple more pieces of bacon and a few sausage pattie/links.Hard to beat that breakfast. One of my favorites.
