I had fond memories of if. Sadly, it sucks now. Bit thankfully TZ OS still awesome and all the Outer Limits / Hitchcock holds up. NG is 70's suckage.
Not quite his best work, and IMHO he was just a host.
People had bought into the fact that Dark Shadows was a scary, gothic soap, that is now funny to watch.
Maybe he was trying to keep up with Jack Webb, if by only trying to out smoke him!
Yeah NG missed the mark on a few episodes.
For something along those lines, check out Tales That Witness Madness with Donald Pleasance. Should still be on Neflix, or could have swapped over to Amazon video. Really good collection of short stories, one of them with a young Joan Collins.

Sport is the mortal enemy of art and culture. Having last Summer suffered the indignity of living in an Olympic city, the only good word I have to say about that particular farce is that at least it will never again happen in my lifetime (and hopefully it has also killed stone dead any desire for or chance of London hosting the soccer World Cup, which would be even more beastly).

Watched Mad Men on the plane yesterday, a nice episode (American Tobacco pull their account, the slimy young exec who could pass for Steve Buscemi's son - Pete? - has a daughter). Last night in the hotel I saw the Game of Thrones episode about which so many have been howling. I enjoyed it very much.

I hate when they have sporting events in my area and it screws up the freeway traffic and people act like morons so I can see what you mean. I never could understand the draw of the Olympics either. I hope it never gets anywhere near here.
