I always thought Gunilla Hutton was the best looking of the gals.

You're right. I was just saying that they had to be somewhere in those dates, because of Stringbean, and Don Rich's passings.

I'm sure Lisa Todd and Misty Roe were following him around as well. :D
Actually tonight's show should be one of the last with Stringbean.
This series of shows were filmed sometime in late 73, which is when Stringbean was murdered.
Although they weren't shown until spring of 74.
Don Rich (Buck's guitarist and good friend) would die that summer in a motorcycle accident if I remember correctly.

I cheated and looked up the release date on IMDB. :D
We recorded one over Christmas, and realized they were playing Stringbean's last few episodes, based on the sequence.
His last episode was listed as the one with the Oak Ridge Boys, but he was on last night's with Hugh Hefner.
I do know they filmed x amount at a time, maybe in a full week or two, to cover either half or a full season.
I found this out by meeting someone that owned Bouregard during that time. What did the dog care about travel? He slept a lot. ;)

Stringbean---the guy who started the whole thing about wearing your pants sagging down.

Though neither of my parents had gone to college (they were from poor immigrant families, and both spent what would have been their college years in the service during WWII), they had great respect for and aspired to appreciate those "high class things", and that's what they passed on to my sister and me.

Kind of similar. My grandparents were not poor but neither of my parents went to college either. My father regretted it as it would have been reasonable considering his military service as well but he came back and went to work when he got home---first with Southern Pacific and then with the Federal Government for 35 years.
Expensive things were nice to have but they stressed developing who you were before developing what you had.

Yes it was, them and Johnny Rodriguez (he really was good),
That was the last episode Stringbean was listed on.
What a shock to see him on the Hefner one.
BTW James, from what I understand, they dressed Stringbean that way to make him appear taller.

Yup, always been a big fan of Johnny Rodriguez. I think he's way underrated. In fact, I was singing "That's the Way Love Goes" on my way out of work, about 45 minutes ago lol

The weather kept me in all day yesterday, so I rolled cigarettes and watched The Rockford Files and The Andy Griffith Show for about 8 hours lol

Confession time... I just watched an hour of "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" and thought it was hilarious. "Candid Camera" with a geriatric twist, it was fun!

Sounds like an interesting story!
Well, if you insist.
My parents took us to Nashville, numerous times. Once was less than a year after Stringbean's murder. My father, on a Saturday afternoon, took us on a drive, to where he believed Stringbean had lived... and died. Sure enough, Dad knew right where it had all happened. Then we drive up the road just a little and Dad said, I think this where Grandpa Jones lives; and he pulls into the driveway. Dad gets out of the car saying "I think I just saw someone back there". A few minutes later he came back to the car & said he'd met "Everybody's favorite grandpa". Grandpa was wearing a revolver in a holster and did appreciate the sudden appearance of an unannounced fan. Dad said that Mr. Jones said all the neighbors were worried, I believe the murders were still unsolved at that point. He asked us to leave and said he was going to get a big fence and attack dogs. Two years later we drove by again... Big tall wooden gate with fence and signs that read Beware of dogs.
I tried to give the short version.

Wow, who'da thunk. I know Grandpa Jones and Stringbean were good friends and lived closeby. Surprised by the reaction from him, though you're right, I'm sure with the recent murder, they were all on edge.

Have Gun Will Travel. Not very good, but, the greatest business card of all times. The Legend Of Wyatt Earp. Talk about Revisionist History!

The Andy Griffith Show

The episode where Barney gives the Governor a parking ticket, and the Governor comes to shake his hand and let him know how much he appreciates Barney's 'no-favoritism' philosophy.
