R-Kelly's "RapOpera" "Trapped in the Closet" - Another something I'd never watched, never heard of but my son had been watching for years. Silly drivel and more "mockera" than opera but I must admit it was laugh out loud funny in parts. Who knew?

Killer Bs

Rallying - The Killer Years! About The Killer Bs. That was what Group B Rally cars were known as in the 1980s. The cars were putting out over 500hp and weighed less then 200lbs. The cars got so fast and there was no regulations on where spectators could watch from. The fans liked to put their hands out and touch the cars as they went buy at over 130kph. One driver reported he ran over a fans leg breaking it, and the fan was happy to have been run over by his hero! It was a recipe for disaster and in 1986 on the race course in Portugal, Joaquim Santos lost control of his Ford RS200 crashing into the crowd at an estimated 130kph, killing three and injuring 30! Of course I was a fan, since they came to challenge our mountain, The Pikes Peak Hill Climb, they were incredible machines! Last night I watched "Too Many Christmas Trees," the Christmas episode of The Avengers from the Emma Peel period (1965). A seasonal favorite at our house. Great plot, the usual, wonderful Avengers stylishness and dialogue and an amusing reference to Pussy Galore. Christmas done right... as long as you don't mind evil, scary Santa Clauses and dead bodies under the tree.

Thanks to someone posting nearly all the episodes in restored/remastered quality to youtube, I'm been watching a marathon of the old UNTOUCHABLES TV series (1959-63) with Robert Stack as Eliot Ness. I hadn't seen these since I saw them in re-run syndication when I was a kid. Below is a screen capture I made of the men in their hats.

The Duchess of Duke Street on DVD. A very entertaining story during the Edwardian Era and post WW1 England with its parallel (high society-servant) hierarchies. Great sets, wardrobes and lots of hats/caps.
