What was the last TV show you watched?

Saw an episode of Ghost Town Gold on Discovery. Pretty interesting. Sort of like American Pickers, but specifically focused on old west items.

I saw that a few days ago as well. It was interesting. I forgot what network I had found it on. Now I know.
Oh and I was watching American Pickers last night.

Last show I watched from start to finish, the Christmas special from Duck Dynasty. Not the best episode of the show, but still enjoyable.

As did my pa. I bought a DVD with a few episodes on it at Wal-Mart, knowing he'd enjoy it. He's always talking about how much he loved the show. It's just as good as he said it was, too.

Man... I watched Dean as a kid.....

Those DVD's are on my 'to-buy' list.

You get to see some of the greats make fun of each other without swearing. What a novel concept.
Oh and the one with Fosters Brooks roasting Don Rickles was hilarious.

Too many don't have the talent to do it without swearing thinking that the swearing makes them clever and entertaining but it doesn't. The same goes for writers of print and movies.

Yes, you cannot get away from the stupidity of swearing in movies. From Deadwood to even the new Abraham Lincoln movie! Yeah right, I believe Abe and his contemporaries really loved to use the F word.

I thoroughly enjoyed Deadwood but the swearing was too much and took some time to build up a tolerance/indifference to.

I built up no tolerance. That is what they want you to do. They want to lower standards so their job is easier.

It worked on me! It didn't on Niptuck, but that might've been the lameness of the show and the perversion and not so much the swearing which was much less as a cable tv show.

That was a pretty stupid show as well.

I tried to get into Deadwood, but never did because of the same reason.
When I look back on shows produced 30yrs ago (many I'm buying on DVD now that they are available), I realize how well written they were.
Nowdays? It's more about shocking the audience, than writing a good story.

Tonight I'm watching Axemen.
