Harry Potter Pt 7. Not bad, too short to do justice to all the minor characters who we've come to know and love along the way. I admit I cried a little bit, but so did my kids!

I watched Troll Hunter which is a Norwegian film, its really good, definately worth a watch.
I mainly watch films instead of tv, The Family Stone is a very good film also. SJP is this rather awkward individual but throughout the film she grows on you. Its a sad one, though really really moving towards the end. Bit like the Notebook that it will have you reaching for the tissues.

The last four films I have seen, all for my "Invention of Cinema" course, were Baby Face, Birth of a Nation, Charlie Chaplin's The Kid, and Nanook of the North.

Chaplin is incredible.
His face when they take the little boy away is what motion pictures are all about.
What a great movie!
I hope you got to see them on the big screen.

FYI, it looks like Kevin Brownlow's Hollywood series is available on You Tube. I watched part of first episode the other day. I can't find it on dvd, evidently due to complicated film rights. It ran on PBS a couple of decades ago, and I've been trying buy it ever since.

The Proposal.

I recommend NOT watching movies on FX. Especially movies with "hosts". It was probably barely a two hour movie. After commercials and hosts, the thing was THREE HOURS!! Not worth it. Even with Betty White.

*sigh* I just can't seem to be happy with a movie lately. lol

^ I despise those "hosted" movies! I know exactly what you're talking about - the wannabe witty banter during commercials... annoying.

I watched "Hollywoodland" for the umpteenth million time last night.
