If there's enough I'd say go for a sport coat, or trousers. Either way, it's great material.

I have enough for a suit. but I need a clear idea.
Its really loud donegal tweed. So it has to be a sports suit of sorts.

I would make it up as a suit but probably wear the pieces as separates more times than not. A belt back (with double breast patch pockets) sounds good as well

Yes, the double breast pocket looks excellent with a tweed like this.

What about pleated front darts? It would require a welt breast pocket, but it's an idea.

I know what i would have made from that fabric: a copy of Bela Lugosi's four patch pocket, belt back suit from 'The Black Cat'. It's a wonderful suit.

But it wasn't it was just something it picked up from the rug.

Two types
I was thinking just that.
It is very common to see vintage tweed with four patch pockets like Nick pointed out as well.
Add an action back and pleats instead of gathers.

I think thats the direction I should take. I might have enough for two jackets and a pair of slacks.
Would a DB work? has anyone ever seen an example of that? probably not since donegal tweed was primarily sports suit material

I've seen a few tweed double breasteds, it's uncommon but a good look. Could you squeeze out a waistcoat?

Great fabric! Have you measured it?
If you are doing a sportive jacket with "fancy" pleats & patch pockets (I'd definitely go for single breasted), I would drop the waistcoat (except you really have enough fabric for that - then a Tattersal-cut would be the ticket IMO).
A second pair of trousers (or plus-fours) is always a plus. In any case save up enough material for matching cap(s), but I think that's a given.

I would go for the Lugosi Style too. Ecven with the cool details it's somwhat understated for a sports suit. Notch lapels and good shoulders and not too extreme. Not as flashy as Clark Gable would wear it.

Since you asked, here is Robert Montgomery in a sporty DB suit.

You can make probably that many caps with all this donegal. But I can make one if i do it right to have a full tweed 3 piece with matching cap.
