what to do with curly hair...

uh oh....

I thought I would stop by the barber shop today and get it trimmed up...for the sake of neatness, maybe snip the ends off...big mistake. The barber butchered the ever loving tar out of my hair...It looks...well, all modern. I don't know how I could fix it. Do any of you folks have any suggestions? I miss my old hair

well it finally grew in a little...no more "boy band" looking hair for me! I found that it looks better at this length when I simply comb it as opposed to combing then brushing it. Have any of you thick haired individuals tried either or? Results? Thanks!

You look like a million bucks in all the pics. I think the curly with the shine looks the smartest. (Once again, y'all are tempting me to grow out the shaved head. It's been years since I've grown it out, but I'll do it this time.)
