What style hat is this?

Because it is my ideal non-cowboy hat. This may be a simple question and I guess this falls under those hats called "fedoras" but there seems to be alot of variation within that category. I've seen these large brims called "gangster" hats, "swing" hats, also open road style. Is this large brim style from a certain era, hence the names above, or do you find them from the beginning of the fedora on?

I rarely see them with a 3-inch brim - I love the look - too bad this one is 2 sizes too small. Thanks!

Great looking hat. I've not seen many Mallorys, but is the bow really "backwards" like that? With fins at the front / front and back? It almost makes it look like a woman's hat that has been bashed back-to-front for a man to wear it.

It's a fedora...leave it as that. Leave off the "wide brim." It's a fedora.

I thought the rule of thumb was that hats should not be stretched more than one size?
