What Price Glory B3

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has any photos of the WPG B3 jacket - did a quick search on here but didn't come up with anything. Only reason I ask is that on the website (http://www.whatpriceglory.com/shopexd.asp?id=838&bc=no) the two tones look a whole lot more contrasting than on other B3's I've tried on etc. Is this effect just because of the way the photograph was taken or is the jacket actually like that? I.e. compare to an Eastman B3 which is a lot more understated: http://www.eastmanleather.com/product_info.php?products_id=176

Any help appreciated, cheers.

Fly,

I have no photos, but did see them at Reading years ago. It might have been the last time he made the trip east. The jacket, for the price is decent. Better than a mall copy, not as good (of course) as a premium repop. For 350 it is a warm jacket that passes the ten foot rule.

On behalf of a friend who is looking for one but doesn't have a huge budget I'm wondering whether it would be fit for reenactment? Are they quite sturdy?

Flyboy,

the post is very long winded, excuse me, detailed. Basicaly in a nut shell, The WPG has a thinner wool thickness, thinner hide, non water proofed. Passes the ten foot rule, but not a true copy, repop. Some hardware is deemed incorrect such as zipper and buckle. The photoes have been deleted from his photbucket account and are not present. Bummer would have been nice to see it in the flesh as it were.

Thanks Phantomfixer, I'll pass it on to my mate - Don't know why he's after a B3 anyway to be honest, I reckon he'd get more use out of an A2. Probably saw the WPG prices and had his head turned by that!
