Awesome Schott jacket!

I actually have the same style in Schott Europe model that i got as a gift. Lc1259. It has the same look, but you can tell it is not the same.

It is very well made, but it is not as heavy duty or anyway near as warm as the 257s.

Thanks for the pictures!

You are happy with your Schott? How do you think it is compare to the other B3’s like Aero and Eastman that are mentioned here?

People say it’s one grade lower than Eastman and Aero and I’m sure that’s true but I’ve never handled them. I’ve also had a regular brown Schott one as well . I don’t like the authentic two tone styling myself and I’m very happy with the black one.

A little update:

I was in contact with Aero and Schott. Eastman did not reply at all. Bad customer service in my experience. When you buy a jacket over 1000£ you really want to get the safety by great customer service, especially when you’re unsure about the fit etc.

Aero did respond very quikly, and did offer to make a custom jacket to my measurements. Great service! But it sound a bit like a hazzle and it was also a long wait on the custom jackets.

I see that Fivestar leather got many good reviews, and if im buying a repro «authentic» B3 in the future it may well be from Fivestar.

Anyway, i ended up with Schott, wich was very much my first choice anyway. And after i spoke with their customerservice i had no doubts. Very quick respond and patient staff that recommended me to buy size 36 (i was so unsure what size to get as i said earlier in this post especially because of my height (190cm) ).

And the size 36 fits me perfect! Im a skinny guy, so these jackets will always be bulky and big on me, especially around my arms. I guess i could have get 34 also, wich they recommend for a slim fit. But i was afraid it would have been to short in the sleeves (but after i got the 36 i think even 34 will be fine). Could not have been more happy with the purchase. The most expensive piece of clothing i have ever bought, but what a great quality. It was -19C yesterday when the jacket arrived (fast shipping as well from US to Norway, only three days!) and i was out for a while just with a tshirt under the jacket. My feet was freezing, but the jacket could easily take -19 C with just a tshirt.

Im very happy with the jacket, style and the quality. Hopefully it will last for years!

Ultimately your happiness is what matters! Glad you got a jacket you love. These jackets do last for years. I bought a used Schott B3 for $200. Had to be 20 years old and was still able to handle any weather.

In an earlier post I saw you asked for what to wear with your B3. Here are two pics of me in a B3. The first is my Aero B3 that I still have. I wore it with jeans that day. The second is a different Aero B3 (sold it last year) with khaki pants.

Enjoy your new jacket!

The problem is that now i want even more Sheepskin/B3 jackets! Will definetely buy another one in the future. And that will be either Aero or Eastman.

Was out with my kids just now and watched them ice skating for about an hour and a half in -13C and i was warm all the time. Altough my feet was freezing! But very happy with the jacket.

Great pictures, powersci! The bottom picture, with the redskin, the fur looks very curly compare to the first picture? Does it vary much from each jacket?

And how is the warmth compare to your Schott version?

Careful, man! You're gonna end up like me and buy a ton of shearling jackets. Best thing to do is keep an eye out for one in the TFL classified sections or other sites.

Aero has two types of shearling: straight and curly; anyone can correct me if I'm wrong. The redskin jackets I've owned from them have curly shearling. But I have seen some of their redskin jackets with straight shearling. Other than softness, which I think is more about which sheep it came from, there isn't a difference to me. But, I've grown to love the straighter shearling over the curly. No reason other than preference and appearance.

All shearling jackets have done well for keeping me warm. Chicago has been averaging near 0°C for the past few weeks. Regardless of what shearling jacket I wear over a t-shirt, I stay toasty warm. Only thing I can imagine would change that is if I wore something with a thinner shearling. But Schott and Aero both has some thick shearling to them.

Hello again! It has been a bit over a year since i started this thread! How time flyes

Anyway.. I did buy a Schott 257s a year ago, wich is a fantastic jacket!

But now, i finally pulled the trigger on a Eastman B3! Werber Sportswear for the proper Patton look!

When i order it i was afraid that it would be to short ( im 6’2 and 37 chest). They adviced me to try the 40R first, and then exchange it if needed.

The body length actually fits me very well! But the sleeve length is a bit short.. it comes just down to my wrist! I guess it is just long enough.

I got it yesterday, so i only took a quick fit picture in the mirror for showing the length.

I guess it really comes down to personal taste. But do you have any inputs? Im really unsure if i will keep it. Based on the picture, whats your opinion?

Odd. Beautiful jacket. The sleeves are okay though I can see why some might argue they're short. The jacket, however, looks gigantic on you.

I don't know, I wouldn't want that.

Thanks for the reply.

Well, i dont think my skinny jeans on the picture does me any favour! With another jeans it does not look THAT big.

But, its not just the sleeves. I did try it on now, and i find the fit very strange.

I have 37 chest (and overall very skinny, wich i have been all my life).

I usually wear 36 (sometimes 38).

This jacket are enormous in the upper arms! I can grab a whole hand with extra leather!

But still, it is very tight moving the arms! I can barely reach the zipper when fully zipped. Will this be easier with use?

Shoulders feels ok, and the chest is ok ( slightly tight when fully zipped), and plenty of room around belly/waist!

I have sheepskin jackets from Schott and Cockpit in both 36 without any problems.

42 will be way to big! And 38 will be way to tight..

Maybe this style simply dont fit me? Very frustrating because i love the jacket. I wish i could try it for a few weeks before i decide :p because brand new it does not feel 100%
