I put on makeup today as an incentive to get out of the house, but it didn't work. The look I came up with was a silvery eye with a green crease and a pale pink lip. For some reason, FL isn't letting me add my picture of my work to this post:( oh well. If any onf you are interested, i made a post about it on my blog. In any case, I love reading what you ladies are wearing on your faces!

^ I checked out your blog. Lovely! I've heard good things about the Kat Von D eyeshadows, but I've never tried them. Do you ever do makeup tutorials on YouTube?

Today I'm wearing Kiehl's tinted moisturizer with Clinique blended loose powder, MAC eyeshadows in Ricepaper and Haux, L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara, and MAC Viva Glam V lipstick.

Well i got a good birthday haul of make up, which i wore today. Bless my little boy, who bought me the lippie all by himself apparently, aaah. I asked for red and he got the right colour, love him.

Paul and Joe pressed powder in O1. (Lovely translucent powder with a strip of shimmer, no disco ball effect and really great, almost on a par with BE Mineral Veil.

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lasting Creme lipstick in Scarlet Siren. (A true blue-y red, creamy satin finish and surprisingly lasted through morning coffee and lunch. I did blot and re-apply three times though).

Estee lauder Double Wear Gel eyeliner black. (I applied at 8.00am and is still going strong 14 hrs later, no flaking at all, brush is too thick though).

Boots No.7 eyebrow pencil in brown/black. Pretty good, although a little red tinged for me.

I have this lipstick and I love it. It is a nice true red and it really does last quite a long time. I've gotten about 7 hours of it by avoiding eating.

Great minds FWG! I'm s big champion of EL lippies, they really are nicely pigmented and last well, even on my post cold chapped lips. Really i shouldn't be wearing lipstick and indeed the EL one was the only one i could apply without it looking like a bloodbath! Plus the packaging is gorgeous. I never hesitate to whip it out of my handbag and apply in public,

^ Have you tried the Estee Lauder lip conditioner? It is a balm, but it makes a really good base for their lipsticks because it isn't greasy or oily.

Speaking of Besame, I was at a vintage fair last weekend and there was a Besame stall. I didn't stay long, but I have to say I was so disappointed with their packaging. Up until now I'd considered buying one of their lipsticks or powders because of the packaging, but they looked really cheap and plasticky! Definitely not on par with Estee Lauder or even some of my Revlon lipsticks.

^ It has been a couple of years since I've bought anything Besame. Has their packaging changed? I remember a while back they completely changed the product line. The 1 store in my town that previously sold Besame stopped carrying it.

Today -

Studio Gear Flawless foundation in Bisque
Clinique blended loose powder
Lorac auburn brow pencil
MAC Painterly paint pot, Guerlain 29 Rue de Sevres eyeshadow palette, Urban Decay Perversion eyeshadow
L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara
MAC Improvise mineralize blush
Trish McEvoy deep nude liner, YSL peachy-nude lipstick

Today's Makeup: Benefit Some Kind-a Gorgeous My Perfect Match (foundation), the 2 lightest beiges from Kat Von D's Ludwig eye palette, and Great Lash mascara. I think I'm trying to get sick. But I actually DID the hair today, so I'm trying to not get sick.

I have to say Estee Lauders packaging is always worth the initial spend. I was raving earlier about the lipsticks, plus i mentioned how glamorous and substantial the packaging is too. I do use a compact and apply lippy in public, so i do like a luxe looking tube!

I did think the Besame packaging looked really vintage and luxe, thanks for the heads up.

I got in a grand total of four hours of sleep last night - There was a company Christmas cocktail party, and an after-party at a pub, so today I am wearing the bare minimum:

Too Faced's Shadow Insurance
Benefit Magic Ink Eyeliner
Buxom Lash Mascara
NYC Eyebrow Pencil
MAC StudioFix powder (which is way better than their old blot powder)
Burt's Bees lip shimmer in rhubarb.

Can I play??

I don't have much variety though...

Face:
Revlon ColorStay Foundation in 110 Ivory.
Meow Cosmetics Pampered Puss Mineral Foundation in 2- Frisky Abyssinian

Brows:
ELF clear brow mascara and ELF Black Highlighting Eyeliner

Eyes:
Rimmel's Romance Color Quad
Mabelline's Eye Studio Gel Liner
Mabelline's Falsies Mascara

Lips:
Revlon's ColorStay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick in Top Tomato

Simple set up, but effective, I think. :)

What a fun thread!
