It is very flattering (but personally I think it could use a touch more pigment). I had problems getting people to try it at Sephora because it looks so dark in the tube!

^ I find the pigment pretty buildable, personally, though I admit I initially expected more pigment from it when I tried it. It does look SO dark in the tube though, you're right! Pretty scary for some ;)

Not for me! :p I never got the chance to play with it enough to see how buildable it is, but I would definitely try that as it feels very nice.

You ladies have made me put that lipstick on my list now. I've been meaning to try it for ages....

Today:
Estee Lauder doublewear foundation
Paul and Joe ornamental pressed powder in 001 (my new fave powder)
Estee lauder gel eyeliner
Paul and Joe creamy cheek powder 01 (a rose pink colour)
No 7 brow pencil in brown/black
Max Factor 2000calorie mascara
Bobbi brown eyeshadow in Bone
Paul and joe lipstick no.30 (a slightly glossy peach, more of a balm than a lippie really).

Today's casual day at work, but a pretty busy day. I work in a church, so Christmas and Easter are my busiest times! I'm in jeans, sweater & moccasins, so I went with neutral, light makeup.

Kiehl's tinted moisturizer in light
Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil powder
Lorac auburn brow pencil
MAC Painterly paint pot as eye primer
MAC Orb, Ricepaper & Satin Taupe eyeshadows
MAC Studio Fix mascara (the only non-waterproof mascara I've found that doesn't run on my crazy watery eyes)
MAC Uncommon blushcreme
Prada shielding lip balm tint #1

Today is pretty much the same as most other days for me, except I'm wearing Julie Hewett creme foundation in Kate. Flawless finish and beautiful coverage. It is the perfect foundation for the vintage look!

^ I *love* the Besame 1930s mascara. Do they still sell it online anywhere? My one local retailer stopped carrying Besame and Julie Hewett, so I can't get them locally anymore.

Hi Fortworthgal! Yes, I can only get mine online as no local retailers carry it. I get it from the Besame site. It's great because parcels are very carefully put together, shipping is fast, and there is always free shipping with a three item purchase. :)

Oh and Clarins Beauty Flash balm as a primer. I had forgotten how good this is when one is feeling/looking a bit grotty and haggard.

^ I love Beauty Flash Balm, it works great when you're tired and need to perk up.

I also love Max Factor 2000 Calorie, unfortunately I don't think it is sold in the US anymore.

I agree. Oh and by the way Happy New Year to you and yours belatedly FWG!

Flash Balm is great as a mask too. I was using the Studio secrets primer, but found it really seperated on my skin and made my foundation look claggy. I did only apply it very sparingly too. Shame as it seemed to do the job for a while.

I have to say 2000 calorie is one of my fave mascaras, for the pricepoint. Most of the other cheaper brands really clump on me, as i have long, spindly lashes sadly.

Beauty Balm is great! I like it as a mask, but haven't tried mixing it with my foundation yet. I'll have to try it soon as it's supposed to make long wear of your foundation.

Today, working again. Complexion is the same as my prior posts.

Eyes:

MAC Saddle brows
UD Primer Potion
UD 24/7 eye shadow stick in Sin on lid + Too Faced eye shadow Kiss the Bride (also up over entire crease)
Stila Dune on brow bone
Makeup Forever eyeliner 10
Besame 1930s Mascara

Lips:

Revlon ColorStay pencil Red
Besame Classic Color lipstick Cherry Red
