I like NYX everything, I've liked everything that I've used. The jumbo pencils are great, and theyre the most popular product by far. At the Vancouver IMATS milk sold out in 2 hours on the first day. The only thing I haven't liked is the red jumbo lip pencil, but the jumbo eye pencils are very nice.

I'm sick today so I'm wearing very little makeup.
NYX concealer in a jar, Coty Airspun, a Mexican mamey seed oil mascara, and Estee Lauder Wild Fire lipstick.

I just got this as a gift yesterday and I love it.

Not much going on today, hit the flea market & watched a few old Twilight Zone episodes, getting ready to color my hair, so I'm completely makeup-free!

Eye Primer: Too Faced's Shadow Insurance (as always)
Eyeliner: Benefit's Magic Ink
Mascara: Sephora brand in black
Eyeshadow: From MAC's 2010 Christmas "Little Darlings" pigments, Gold Dust
False eyelashes: Make-up Forever lashes in Kim (the false eyelashes)

And as long as we're including perfume, Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle.

Ok, this motivated me to go allllll the way upstairs and dig through my makeup bowl! Oh, and actually post something rather than lurk :p
First of all, Fortworthgal, I really, really wish I could look that fresh-faced with or without makeup! I also love that lipstick color: when you said Julie Hewett and 'noir' I envisioned something dark.
I wear the same thing pretty much everyday. Here goes:
Foundation: Revlon ColorStay in 110 Ivory (will rotate with L'Oreal True Match N1) and Maybelline corrector stick in green around nose :-(
Powder: Coty Airspun in Translucent (in summer, will wear L'Oreal True match N1 pressed powder)
Blush: L'Oreal True Match Precious Peach (N1) (will wear W1, something blossom in summer)... can you tell I love this line?!
Eyes: Maybelline Chocolate Mousse trio, darkest in crease, and Revlon's Matte Vintage Lace everywhere else. Maybelline Full n' Soft/Define a Lash in Very Black (one or the other, or a combination if I want super volume). L'Oreal Infallible liner in black-brown or Maybelline Line Stiletto in Blackest black if I want winged liner.
Brows: Maybelline Expert Wear in Velvet Black... should probably go with something softer though
Lips: Revlon Matte 'In the Red' with a swipe of L'Oreal 'Sunset Red' on top (lipsticks turn on me and layering helps get the color I want)
If I'm going out, I usually use Cover Girl eyeshadow trio in Shimmering Sands to glam up, lol

perfume Chanel Chance (eau tendre)... wedding gift from DH :D

^ Thanks, nostalgic! The Oona Noir lipstick is one of the sheers. It is slightly darker than it appears in my pictures, almost like a sheer very light red. Film Noir is another sheer of hers that I love - it looks plum-black in the tube, but applies like a sheer blackberry color, very pretty.

You're lucky to look so fresh-faced and natural with your face on. If i slightly over-do it i look like Bette Davis in Baby Jane! I love your colouring and your hair colour is very pretty too.

I kept getting very distracted looking at your pic, as i love all your bathroom decor and all your pretty bits and pieces!

You are so funny, Miss Sofia! Sometimes if I put on much eye makeup I feel like I have the "Baby Jane" thing going on, so I know exactly what you mean. I suppose I really don't wear much makeup for work everyday, and I do apply everything with a light hand, but I still feel like I am obviously wearing makeup. I've walked up to cosmetic counters before and they act shocked that I'm wearing anything. I feel like I must be doing something wrong. lol I think partly I look that way because I have such a round face and have so many freckles, they always show through whatever foundation I'm wearing. You are very sweet to compliment me.

Thank you for your compliments on my bathroom. The tile & fixtures are original 1958. I posted a picture in the "vintage cosmetics collection" thread of the shelf behind my toilet, with all my vintage product packages. Looking back I should have pulled the shower curtain closed, but oh well. lol

I love your haircolor fortworthgal. It's such a pretty red color. I also love maquicomplet, but all thr colors are either too light or too dark for me right now :-(

I'm really loving Revlon New Complexion liquid foundation right now. Although it must not be really popular because I can't find it at CVS, Ulta, or Walgreens. They have the powder, but not the liquid.

Foundation: Revlon New Complexion in Creamy Peach Beige
Concealer: NYC concealer in yellow, Sonia Kashuk Concealer Palette 07(greeny-beige, peachy-beige, and powder), and Cover Girl Invisible Concealer in medium 155(yes I have horrible genetic dark circles)
Brows: Milani brow fix in Light(this gives me visible eyebrows and looks really natural)
Mascara: Rimmel Lash Accellerator in black topped with Cover Girl Lashblast in brown(because otherwise the RLA tends to smudge)
Eyeliner: Maybelline Upstoppable Eyeliner in Espresso(I bought it yesterday and it's not good)
Eyeshadow: Silk Natural mineral eyeshadow in Breathe(it's a purple color, but I applied it lightly for work. It makes my eyes look really green) with a creamy color under my brows from some random Covergirl palette)
Blush: Revlon blush in Sandalwood(love this color)
Lips: CoverGirl Trushine Lipcolor in 410 Coral Radiante(orangy mood this morning)

You know, I hadn't realized until I looked over this list, but it's been awhile since I bought a non-drugstore makeup. Maybe it's time to go visit the CCO in Allen...

DigThatBeat - Your makeup sounds fabulous!

Fadetoblack - I love Julie Hewett Noir lipsticks, too. Film Noir is one of my favorites!

We're without water at my house right now (having our plumbing redone, super fun) so I went minimal. Today I'm wearing:
Foundation: L'Oreal True Match liquid in N1
Powder: Make Up For Ever HD Powder, Coty Airspun in translucent extra coverage
Eyes: MAC Painterly paint pot, Lacura volume mascara, Lorac auburn brow pencil
Lips: Julie Hewett Film Noir lipstick

You know, I hadn't realized until I looked over this list, but it's been awhile since I bought a non-drugstore makeup. Maybe it's time to go visit the CCO in Allen...

I keep meaning to make it over there, but I never seem to get around to it. Is it worth the trip?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good waterproof mascara? My allergies have been bad lately and my eyes water constantly, so I end up looking like a raccoon an hour after I leave the house. lol I'm not brand loyal necessarily, I'm open to everything from drugstore to department store/Sephora brands.

I'll play :

Face- Image tinted SPF 30, Maybelline 24hr Superstay concealor
Eyes- Loreal Lineur Intese in Carbon Black, a black Stila Eyeshadow for brows
Lip- Julie Hewett lipstick in Belle Noir

This lipstick was dropped off this morning and within seconds I was dashing through the house to the nearest mirror to apply. I am in LOVE! It is a gorgeous, bright orangey-red that really works with my pale but warm skin tone. I love warm reds, but I wish they made my teeth look whiter like a cool or neutral does.

Hi, girls! I want to play!

Today I am wearing:

FACE
Benefit Bo-ing Concealer in Light
Revlon PhotoReady Pressed Powder in Fair/Light
Benefit Coralista Box O'Powder Blusher

EYES
Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes Kit - light pearly pink base shadow, cocoa shimmer contour shadow, dark brown liner shadow. I use the liner shadow on my brows, too.
L'Oreal Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Liner in Black Mica (top lid only)
Benefit They're Real! Mascara in Black - This really is the best mascara I've tried...and I have tried them all. It almost gives you the look of false eyelashes. It is a real pain in the rear to remove, though.

LIPS
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Really Red

That's all for today. :)
