That's an easy question to answer, brown leather Belleville flight boots. Unless you are wearing your Khakis, then it is brown leather Bates low quarters.

Pull on boots, usually of the same colour or near shade. Never Converse(thats just me), and with a bike jacket, always a bike:cool:

Black or brown #550 Blundstones, every time.
Oh, and having discovered the joy of Blundstone boots, I wear a pair of black RM Williams boots with my black suit.

I would never wear white sneakers with my leather jackets

Niether me. I only wear sneakers when I go to the gym, running or playing a match. Period.

For the most part, good 'ol Vans sneakers. Until the day comes where I get my jacket collection where I want it, all of my spare change goes to jacket purchases.

The Blundstones are great, although if I knew how dark the stout brown was, I would've just ordered black instead. I also have a pair of RM Williams and they are much more refined/dressy than the Blundstones.

I usually wear Wolverine 1000's with my leather jackets.

Next time, Grayland, check out the lighter brown 550s. They're a light mid-brown and rather suede-like. But ONE coat of the Blundstone conditioner paste fixes that in an instant - it turns them a nice dark brown and the suede finish disappears, leaving you with boots that have just the right hue that looks dark brown - not just ambiguously dark ...

I went through two pairs of Blundstones in 8 years and on each pair the sole wore away while the leather was still in good nick. I realised then I wanted Goodyear welted footwear that I could have repaired.

You guys are dead on abou the stout brown colour. The only way to determine it's not black is to put it next to a pair of black blundstones in sunlight. Then you can just about tell.

Normally some nice full-brogues in a tad lighter shade than my LHB in brown or a bit darker suede chucks. This week I hope to do a transition to Iron Rangers in Amber Harness, though. ;)

I don't own any sneakers and I have one pair of shoes for funerals. I wear Blundstones all the time but I never match them to the jacket. Problem with Blundstones is that they are pretty crap these days. When I started wearing them in the early 1980's they were tough and looked like a work boot and were made in Australia. They became popular, changed their look and went down hill and are now made in Asia. I now go through about 2 pairs a year.

I haven't had a pair of Blunnies since the early 90s - those were pretty good IIRC. I know a few guys who have said they're not a patch on what they used to be.

To the OP, I personally love RM Williams boots and they go brilliantly with a leather jacket. Saying that I quite often wear my Palladiums with my jackets, mostly because they're so comfortable.

I wore Williams years ago, never all that impressed with the quality. And they cost the earth. I'm reluctant to spend more than $80 on boots. I guess it's because I'm largely indifferent to footwear in as much as I just want it to look unobtrusive and to wear well.

totally agree with Bret about avoiding matching jacket belt and boots; just looks too contrived.

For me I will add that with short leather jackets I think white trainers are fine, especially if the jacket is tan
