What kind of Montecristi do you like and what would it be worth ?

I'm fairly confident that it's a real McCoy, but I don't know for sure as I'm no expert on such matters and it was purchased (cheap, I might add) from a person who knows even less than I do and the cartouche is illegible. But it's a beaut and it fits like it was made for me.

And it well may be an antique, which makes it all the better, as far as I'm concerned.

That is a beautiful Panama and I think pretty old. You don't get that wonderful dark color except with some age on it. I have a couple from the 40s that have the same coloring...KC

Two Panamas

My first Panama I bought 4 years ago at Paul's Hat Works in San Francisco. It's a super Panama and the weave count is around 700wpsi. It cost me around $700. A couple of years later I bought a Panama Dave hat from Art for about 1/3 the price. From now on, I'll just be going to Art...KC
