Wonderful piece!!
It really is, happy to finally get a Sherpa jacket and happier it's in the 101J style.

Those are so nice and easy to wear. I’ve found they make me question my commitment to leather jackets.
ditto it's just so light to wear and super cozy plus it has that effortless look to it you just put it over on almost anything and it looks right

Love the new vintage piece, I hope it feels greater to wear as much as good it looks and that chest pocket looks so cool

that's awesome, Jin. I love the one I have sans sherpa (the one that is a little longer and I'm keeping, not the one I'm selling LOL). Occasionally I look for one with the sherpa lining, but they're hard to find. You see more of the storm rider version with the different collar and the blanket lining, but even those are rare. I broke down last night and ordered a Bravestar one with sherpa lining, but that's more Type 3 Levis style, not the classic Lee 101j. Very nice. Are you able to date yours by the label or anything?
thanks, I'll hold onto mine as well but if a slightly trimmer one comes along I'll snap that one up to lol they sure are out there but a lot of them have seen better days for sure. Those blanket lined w/ corduroy collar is the coolest, I can always find a blue one in my size but on the lookout for a black blanket lined 101j myself

brave star has the occasional 101J styled jacket so keep a watch on their drops. if I wasn't so short or their jackets are 2" shorter I would have gotten one a long time ago lol

Sorry can't help there lol don't know anything about vintage stuff but I read on here that Lee stopped making jackets here in 1984 so maybe 70s-80s who knows. maybe @tmitchell59 can verify

Definitely hang on to that. Not only does it fit you perfectly, but once Stu and/or his fabricator retire, you'll never be able to acquire another one new ever again.

First read through of your post I thought you typed die instead of retire. I thought, damn, Cornelius is a hard, cold dude. Then I reread and realized you said retire. I then thought, damn, I’m the cold sob.

That picture isn't great and I'll have to get a better one tomorrow, but I'm really happy with that Sherpa lined Wranglers
I took a bit of a gamble on it because i was on my lunch break and wasn't 100% about the size, but it fits me pretty well.
Much much better than my modern flannel lined Wranglers that's been relegated to shop / yard work use.

They still offer this jacket today it turns out, but this 80's vintage American made example cost me almost exactly what it would for the current imported version.
The style is a very simple clean one, pretty timeless and the W's across the breast pockets are a nice suble touch.

@Will Zach which maker? Looks fantastic.

@dudewuttheheck, this is a (probably) 1950s jacket from a catalogue seller Spiegel. Likely horsehide, I saw identical Spiegels (not many, only two over three years, and I am looking...;)) with a separate HH label, which seems to have fallen off my jacket. Lining was shredded, I had it relined. I like the top sleeve zips. I was wondering who made these jackets for Spiegel, but I have not seen an identical pattern with any other period maker, yet. Oh, and not to be forgotten, @Monitor commanded (;)) someone to buy it when it appeared in the Finds and Deals thread for $125, and I was smart enough to listen to him.

Thanks. I’ve gotten a lot of good feedback on this one. When i bought it there was a little swi (surfing while intox). I bought two other jackets and boots this week. Therefore this one is on the way to tfl’s @Will Zach. However, all of the nice comments do give me a bit of sellers remorse.
