Once you apply the Obenaufs, it will get a few shades darker, but it also might stop tanning/ darkening after that. Try putting it on a raw/new piece first and put it out with an uncoated piece to see if it tans over a week/month or so...I think the Obenaufs might seal it somehow...not sure.
Thanks for the warning HM :), I bought the oil version, I plan to apply it with rags very thinly. :)

yeah, I agree with this. Obenauf more of a sealer. you need like an oil if you want darker. I know there's mixed opinion about coconut oil, but that definitely darkens. You can also try almond oil. Most conditioners I've tried in the past will darken, but then it's a question of if they stay dark or slowly revert.

I love it and your style. I see punk, futurist dystopian. It’s like art. I want a natural jacket too based on some of your posts.
thanks, growing up I do like cyborg:D and naturally Ghost in the shell

natural jacket really give extra reward in wearing it, especially in the first few weeks and months going from pale pink to beige to flesh to sand and to light tan is very fun to watch, but after getting into a mid tan color it stops showing big progress, from what I see in that blog about that MF natural campus jacket sun-tanning log, that guy's jacket also somewhat stayed in that mid tan for quite a long while, and I thing he used obenauf once if not mistaken

Kakishibu (persimmon) will give you beautiful deep hues after multiple applications and sun exposure, but that is a bold move. You'd have to basically paint the jacket with the dye multiple times, and then watch it darken in the sun. I will be doing it soon with a natural belt, but that is much easier to do than a jacket.

Freewheelers Caboose over Ooe Yofukuten moleskin cossack. I've decided that I don't really like jacket layering for me personally overall. I think this specific combo actually looks pretty good, but it's not comfortable to wear so I likely won't be doing it again.

Opinions please - another (too) short cross zip but after receipt of the Harro I think this Vintage Lesco has to go. I wished it would fit me like @Will Zach 's cross zip (of course his is on another grail level than mine!!). I'm trying it this afternoon as I've just received it on Saturday. Sleeves, body (chest, hem, shoulders) are perfect IMO and comfy but again the body length :( It hurts a bit as the condition is really nice (apart from a small hole on the backside).

I don't think it's too short. Not at all. If I had a jacket custom made, this would be the length I would be aiming for. Spot on.
